About Tru72 · Raleigh
T. Byrd's, now Tru72 Heating & Cooling, is a residential heating and cooling company serving Raleigh and the surrounding Triangle from our Youngsville office. Modern convenience, traditional values.
The day-to-day work is led by our Raleigh General Manager, Brad Harriott. You'll meet him below.
Built on a family standard in home comfort. Run from our Youngsville office. Trusted across Raleigh and the Triangle.
T. Byrd’s Heating & Cooling was founded in Charlotte by Travis Byrd, and is now part of the Tru72 family, a legacy of cooling and heating service that goes back to 1972, and a promise to stay true to the values that built it.
Those values are easy to write down and harder to hold to. Measure before recommending. Diagnose before replacing. Treat a customer’s home the way you would want yours treated. It is a straightforward way to work, built on craftsmanship, accountability and doing the job right the first time.
The commitment underneath the new name is the old one, and we intend to keep earning it. Comfort isn’t about selling equipment. It’s about understanding the home, finding the problem, and earning trust through the quality of the work.
What it means: Modern convenience, traditional values. Today’s instruments, the family’s standards.
What we stand for, said the way we'd say it on the phone.
What every visit aims at. The result customers actually receive when the work is done well.
Clean work in your home. Quality in the way the system is diagnosed and installed. Comfort that lasts long after we leave.
Real diagnostics on every call. Refrigerant pressures on the gauges. Static pressure across the coil. Electrical draw at the contactor. We give you the data, then we give you the choice.
Today's diagnostic tools. The family's traditional standards. That's the whole posture, and it's what most homeowners actually want from an HVAC company.
Real diagnostics on every Raleigh and Triangle call is an easy sentence to write. Here is the number underneath it.
A capacitor reading 12 µF against a 35 µF spec — that's the failure. Not a symptom.
What it means: You pay to fix the part that's actually broken, rather than the expensive one someone guessed at. And if your system has years left in it, we'll say so.

I'm a Marine Corps veteran with nearly 10 years of HVAC experience and a strong belief that doing the job right the first time is always worth it. My goal is simple: provide honest advice, quality workmanship, and a customer experience built on trust. I take pride in helping homeowners make informed decisions about their comfort and treating every home as if it were my own.
When I'm not helping customers, I enjoy golfing, traveling with my wife, discovering new places, spending time with friends, and hanging out with our dog.
Brad leads the day-to-day work in Raleigh. The voice on the phone, the standard on every job, the person accountable when something needs to be made right.
